"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."

Winston Churchill

The UK Tea Trade Benevolent Society is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting everyone who has worked within the UK tea trade. We understand that a lifetime of dedication in this unique industry can sometimes lead to challenges later in life. Whether you are currently active or have long since retired, our commitment is to ensure that you are not left to face hardships alone.

At our core, we offer more than just financial aid — we offer community, compassion, and practical support. We conduct regular well-being checks to ensure our UK members are healthy, secure, and connected with others who share a passion for the tea trade. We also provide hands-on assistance through the sometimes-complex process of applying for government grants, pensions, or other financial support, helping you navigate these systems with clarity and confidence. In times when life brings unexpected difficulties, the Society steps in with direct financial support to help you manage hard times. We believe in the power of a caring community to uplift its members and in the strength that comes from knowing you are part of a family that truly cares. Our mission is to foster a network that protects, supports, and celebrates the people who have contributed so much to the rich heritage of the UK tea trade.

At the UK Tea Trade Benevolent Society, we are proud to stand by our UK members — ensuring that the warmth of community and the compassion of genuine care are available to you when you need it the most.
